God loves you and wants a personal relationship with you.  He wants you to grow close to Him now & spend forever with Him in heaven after you die.

However, sin separates us from God.  Sin is disobeying God.  The Bible says that all have sinned…and that the punishment for sin is death–separation from God in hell forever.  No matter how hard we try, we cannot save ourselves.  We cannot earn our way to heaven by being good, going to church or getting baptized.

That’s the bad news, but there is good news.  God loves you so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus, to earth.  Jesus lived a perfect life and then died on the cross to take away the punishment for our sins.  Three days later, He arose from the dead.  Jesus said that He is the only way to God.  To have a relationship with God, a person must repent (turn from the direction that you are going and turn fully to God) and trust Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior.

If you sense a need in your life to follow Christ, you can turn to Him and trust Him as Lord of your life.  The Bible says that anyone who calls on the name of Lord will be saved.
